Lynne Beckett is president of The BECKLYN Group Inc., a management consulting company and BECKLYN Communications, a full-service marketing, media and public relations firm, established in 1989.

Formerly she was vice-president of GGA Communications, a public affairs agency, and established and managed the company's Ontario office. Previous to her agency experience, she worked with the Ontario Medical Association, Ontario Ministry of Health, Sunnybrook Health Science Centre and was a health care consultant to a national advertising agency.

Lynne has developed and implemented media and integrated marketing programs that promote the spirit, pride and vision of Canadians in the areas of business, health care, telecommunications, mining and consumer marketing in Canada, the U.S. and Eastern Europe.

Lynne is a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society, Consultant Institute (CPRS), American Counsellors Academy, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Ontario College of Nurses and past member of the MIT/York Enterprise Forum Organizing Committee.

As a former figure skater, she understands the significant personal and financial commitments parents make for children in sport, as well as its value in helping young people to set and achieve meaningful goals and approach new challenges with confidence.
