Honourary Chair

William F. Bell is Mayor of Richmond Hill and been involved in public life for 21 years, serving the community as Ward 3 Councillor for eight years and as Mayor since 1988. Prior to entering into political life, he was a partner in an independent insurance business in the town of Richmond Hill. Mayor Bell has been actively involved in the GTA Mayors' meetings and was appointed in May 1996 to the Provincial Panel on Government Relations.

As Mayor of one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, he has promoted the value of community sport and recreation as a means of building family relationships and in helping young people to develop their talent and leadership skills.
